This transformation requires a skilled & trained human resource to be deployed in the cooperative sector.
Premier institutions such as VAMNICOM are fulfilling this requirement in a robust way. In the agricultural sector, the Govt. is committed to bringing cooperation to the Panchayat level through the formulation & strengthening of PACS. This will be beneficial for Agro sector as well as other allied sectors.
Concerning the performance of VAMNICOM, what stands out is the Vaikunth Mehta National Institute of Cooperative Management (VAMNICOM), Pune’s impressive achievement of maintaining a 100% placement record since its inception in 1993, at a time when most of the leading institutes of the country are struggling to secure jobs for their graduates.
VAMNICOM, a national institute under the aegis of the National Council for Cooperative Training (NCCT) and supported by the Ministry of Cooperation, Govt. of India is a leading institution dedicated to cooperative management training, research and consultancy. It offers a two-year full-time residential postgraduate diploma in agribusiness management.
In addition to its perfect placement rate, VAMNICOM has made significant strides in gender diversity, with women now constituting 33% of its student body from 10% earlier. This represents a noteworthy shift in the traditionally male-dominated field of cooperative management.
Hema Yadav, Director, VAMNICOM, noted the increasing enrollment of women, attributing it to more competitive offers from cooperative sector companies.
