NCCF and NRDC have formalized a strategic collaboration by signing a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) at the NCCF Headquarters. Thee MoU was signed by Smt. Anice Joseph Chandra, IRS, Managing Director of NCCF, New Delhi and Cmde Amit Rastogi (Retd.), CMD of NRDC, New Delhi at the NCCF Headquarter at New Delhi.
The MoU aims to enhance the export value chain, introduce digital farming solutions, boost seed production, streamline procurement arrangements, implement cutting-edge technology interventions, and promote crop diversification.
The two organizations are paving the way together for a sustainable and prosperous future in agriculture!
NRDC earlier signed a memorandum of agreement (MoA) with Tribal Cooperative Marketing Development Federation of India (TRIFED) for IPR consultancy services and patent searches in different areas of agriculture and food.
NRDC has undertaken few applications for protecting the inventions developed by TRIFED and few patent applications have been filed by NRDC and are at different stages of prosecution.

NRDC is tasked to commercialize technologies generated in Indian R&D Organizations.
NCCF is the apex body of consumer cooperatives in the country, registered under the Multi-State Co-operative Societies Act, 2002. It operates through a network of 26 Branch Offices located in different parts of the country. NCCF promotes consumer cooperative movement in the country.
NCCF is playing a major role in stabilizing food prices, combat food inflation, and enhance its domestic availability. It is selling Bharat brand pulse, rice etc. directly to consumers.
On the other hand, NCCF is directly procuring onions and maize from farmers, ensuring fair price to them. Earlier, the central government allowed NAFED & NCCF to sell maize to ethanol makers.
