Explores collaborative opportunities in agriculture and cooperative growth.
A distinguished delegation comprising representatives from Bhutan and Nepal recently paid a visit to IFFCO Sadan. The delegation included His Excellency Major General Vetsop Namgyel, the Ambassador of Bhutan, along with Mr. Penday Dorji and Mr. Lavania.
His Excellency Dr. Shankar Prasad Sharma, the Ambassador of Nepal, was accompanied by Mr. Tara Nath Adhikari, Mr. Badri Prasad Tiwari (Trade Counsellor), and Mr. Ambuj Chaturvedi.
The meeting primarily focused on discussions pertaining to agricultural initiatives, cooperative growth, as well as the development and utilization of Nano Urea and Nano DAP technologies.
Key figures from IFFCO, including Mr. Rakesh Kapur, Joint Managing Director, along with other officials, actively engaged in fruitful deliberations during the meeting.
It was indeed a productive interaction, reflecting the shared commitment towards agricultural advancement.
Notably, in 2021 the fertilizer consumption for Bhutan was 14.3 kilograms per hectare, whereas it was 97.8 kilograms per hectare for Nepal. Clearly, these is huge opportunity for IFFCO in both of these countries.
Nepal has also been very active in cooperatives and works closely with CICTAB and NCUI.
