Dr. Meenesh Shah, a distinguished figure in the dairy industry, has been unanimously elected as the Chairman of the National Cooperative Dairy Federation of India (NCDFI) during the recent Board meeting of NCDFI held on April 5, 2024.
Prior to this significant development, the General Body meeting of NCDFI convened on April 4, 2024, witnessed the unopposed election of eight directors to the Board. These directors include , Dr Meenesh Shah, Jharkhand Milk Federation; Dr. Mangal Jit Rai, Sikkim Milk Union; Shri Shamalbhai B. Patel, Gujarat Milk Federation ; Shri Randhir Singh, Haryana Milk Federation Shri K. S. Mani, Kerala Milk Federation, Shri Balachandra L. Jarakiholi, Karnataka Milk Federation; Shri Narinder Singh Shergill, Punjab Milk Federation and Shri Sameer Kumar Parida, West Assam Milk Union . Additionally, Shri S. Regupathi, the Executive Director of the National Dairy Development Board (NDDB), has been nominated as a director on the NCDFI Board.
Dr. Meenesh Shah brings a wealth of experience and expertise to his new role, having held chairmanships in prestigious institutions like NDDB, Mother Dairy, and IDMC, among others. His extensive background also includes directorships in organizations such as Indian Immunologicals Ltd (IIL), National Cooperative Organics Ltd (NCOL), and various dairy federations across India. Furthermore, Dr. Shah serves as a Director on the Board of the International Dairy Federation (IDF), showcasing his global engagement in the dairy sector.
